Lorelei Klenke Obituary
Mrs. Lorelei Klenke of Covington, IL departed this life at her residence on Monday, May 12, 2025, at 5:19 P.M. following a sudden illness. She had attained the age of 69 years, 11 months, and 3 days.
Lorelei was born in Seoul, South Korea on June 9, 1955. She was the daughter of Donald and Nadine Bell. She was united in marriage to Gerry Klenke, and he preceded her in death on July 10, 2022.
Mrs. Klenke was a dispatcher for the Illinois State Police and later the Highland Police Department. She served as a police dispatcher for over 30 years until her retirement. Lorelei enjoyed the peace and tranquility that came with country life, and she loved her puppies.
Left to mourn her passing are her children, Brandi Estes of Las Vegas, NV, and Jason Adams and special friend, Sarah Porter of West Frankfort, IL; a stepson, Nick Klenke and wife Jamie of Troy, IL; seven grandchildren; two brothers, Kenneth Bell in Oregon and David Bell in California; other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a stepson, Jason Klenke; and a brother, Donald Bell.
In accordance with the wishes of Lorelei and her family, cremation will be performed. There will be no public services.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the charity of the donor's choice and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.
