Lorene Davis, age 78, passed away Thursday, December 4, 2025 in her home of Holdenville, OK. She was born February 10, 1947 in Wewoka, OK to Jessie Davis and Ora Johnson Davis.
Lorene graduated from Pleasant Grove Seminole High School and then graduated from East Central University. She worked in education for over 40 years. She was a member of the Muscogee Creek Nation of Oklahoma. She was a member and attended Little River Baptist Church then most recently was a member of and attended Wolf Free Will Baptist Church. Lorene enjoyed going shopping, going to ball games, attending church, and spending time with family. She was always up to go find a good burger.
Lorene is preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Robert Davis and Simeon “Cvfe” Johnson; 3 uncles and 6 aunts.
Lorene is survived by her sister-in-law, Mary Davis; nephews and nieces, Robert Jesse Davis and wife, Sarah, Alva Johnson Davis, Elizabeth Davis and fiancé, Austin Waterman, Angela Brown and husband, Josh, Amanda Lawhorn and husband, Ray and Holly Davis along with a numerous amount of extended family and church family.
Casket bearers will be Robert Jesse Davis, Alva Johnson Davis, Ben Gravatt, Dakota Factor, Adrian Factor, Treven Harjo.
Honorary casket bearers will be Kenny Bowlegs, Bob Bookout, Chris Bryan and William Harrison.
Viewing will be from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 and Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, OK.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 11, 2025 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, OK. Cremation will follow. Robert Davis and Dakota Factor will be officiating the services. There will be a meal after the services at Wolf Free Will Baptist Church and all are welcome to join the family.
