Seminole resident, Peggy Lou Jackson, 92, passed away Monday, December 8, 2025, in Oklahoma City.
Peggy, the daughter of Tom and Cora Bell Nelon, was born April 2, 1933, in Sasakwa. Peggy graduated from the Strother school system, where she met Clinton Jackson. On July 22, 1950, she and Clinton were married in Seminole; a marriage that would last for 70 years, prior to Clinton’s passing. Peggy lived a full life, which included bowling, doing cryptograms, and watching sports. She was particularly fond of the Oklahoma City Thunder. Peggy was proud to have been a longtime member of the Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clinton Jackson; her parents, Tom and Cora Bell Nelon; brothers, Cecil and Dale Nelon; sisters, Elena Tuttle, Gladys Farmer, Polly Patterson, and Jo Marquis.
Peggy is survived by her son, Rick Jackson, of Moore; a sister-in-law, Juanita Lowe, of Seminole; and many other family members and friends.
Services will be Friday, December 12, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. at the Church of Christ at Seminole, with Arpoika Daniels officiating. Interment will follow at Little Cemetery in Seminole. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
