Lorenz LeRoy Woodbury, 80, of Wayland, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at the Scotland County Hospital, Memphis, Missouri.
He was born on December 7, 1944, in Fort Madison, Iowa, the son of Earl Lorenz and Mary Ann (Jeffery) Woodbury. He was united in marriage to Mary Jo (Holmes) Woodbury on November 6, 1964, in Kahoka, Missouri and she survives.
LeRoy was a 1963 graduate of Kahoka High School. He then started working for Kahoka Cheese Factory as a Milk Driver, then got promoted inside and helped make the cheese. He looked forward to drag racing at the Kahoka drag strip and entering a car in the Kahoka demo derby. He was quite the collector of old cars, trains, RC cars, boats and planes. When LeRoy wasn’t working you would often find him fishing or hunting. LeRoy was quiet, simple and it didn’t take much to make him happy. His family was important to him.
LeRoy is survived by his wife Mary of 60 years, his sons Tracy Woodbury of Farmington, IA, Tony (Raye) Woodbury of Hudson, NC, Todd (Chandra) Woodbury of Stronghurst, IL, Troy Woodbury of Wayland, MO, his daughters Tara Davis of Wayland, MO, Tina Woodbury of Wayland, MO, his sister Donna Wyckoff of Des Moines, IA, 17 Grandchildren, 29 Great Grandchildren other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Eunice Jensen, and a brother-in-law Roger Wyckoff.
Graveside Services for Lorenz LeRoy Woodbury will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at the Oakhill Cemetery, Wayland, Missouri. Pastor Dan Deatrick will officiate. Memorial contributions in memory of Lorenz LeRoy Woodbury are suggested to the Tunnel of Towers, and may be left at the Wilson & Triplett Funeral Home, Kahoka, MO.You are invited to share your memories of LeRoy and leave a condolence at www.wilsontriplett.com
