Lorenzo Aguilar Amaya

Lorenzo Aguilar Amaya, 67, entered into eternal rest on August 15, 2025, in Harlingen, Texas. He is survived by his devoted wife, Maria Aguilar of Harlingen; his three beloved children: Xiomara Sotelo and Lorenzo Aguilar, both of Harlingen, and Luis Aguilar of Florida; and nine cherished grandchildren: Hector Hugo Badillo, Osmara Belen Badillo, Pedro Badillo, Sherlyn Aguilar, Lorenzo Aguilar, Jr., Aylin Aguilar, Luis Miguel Aguilar Jr., Kimberly Abigail Aguilar, and Keyla Arely Aguilar. Lorenzo is also survived by his six siblings: Luis Aguilar, Ricardo Aguilar, Antonio Aguilar, Midia Aguilar, Rosa Aguilar, and Maria del Socorro Aguilar. He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Juventino and Socorro Aguilar, and by two siblings, Lidia Aguilar and Juventino Aguilar Jr. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 18, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Rudy Garza Chapel of Peace in Harlingen, Texas, with a vigil at 4:30 p.m. and a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at the Rudy Garza Chapel of Peace in Harlingen. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, followed by interment at Ashland Memorial Park Cemetery in Harlingen. (The time of the funeral mass will be announced Monday morning.) Serving as pallbearers will be: Lorenzo Aguilar, Luis Aguilar, Lorenzo Aguilar Jr, Pedro Badillo, Hector Badillo, and Kimberly Abigail Aguilar. Honorary pallbearers include Xiomara Sotelo, Keyla Aguilar, Sherlyn Aguilar, Joe Ybarra, Devon Wyatt, Osmara Belem Badillo, Axel Ira-cheta, and Aylin Aguilar. Lorenzo was a dedicated and hardworking man who found great fulfillment in his work in construction, particularly as an electrician. Known for his precision and high standards, he was a true craftsman who took immense pride in everything he built. He generously shared his knowledge and experience, mentoring the younger generation with patience and wisdom. Outside of work, Lorenzo had a deep love for music, dancing, and spending time with family and friends. He and his wife Maria enjoyed dancing together every weekend-a tradition that brought them joy and strengthened their bond. Lorenzo's warmth, generosity, and unwavering dedication to his loved ones leave a lasting legacy. He will be profoundly missed by all who knew and loved him. Su calidez, generosidad y entrega a su familia y amigos dejan una huella imborrable. Será profundamente extrañado por todos quienes lo conocieron y amaron.
