Loretta May (Pendleton) Blanchard
April 3, 1953 – July 29, 2025
Loretta Blanchard, affectionately known as Lori, of Plainfield, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on April 3, 1953, Lori lived a life marked by compassion, dedication, and a deep love for others. She is survived by her daughter, Anita Lavallee, and her two sons, David Blanchard and Michael(Melonie)Lavallee. She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Devin(Hanna)Maxim, Nicole Maxim, Preston Lavallee, and Matthew Lavallee.
Lori is also survived by her sister-in-law, Kathy Pendleton; her niece and nephew, Bobbie Pendleton and Chad Pendleton; and her great-niece and great-nephews, Aysha, Maddox, and Connor-all of whom brought her tremendous joy. She was predeceased by her beloved parents, Henry Curtis Pendleton Sr. and June (O'Neil) Pendleton, and her brother, Henry Curtis Pendleton Jr.
With a kind and generous heart, Lori was always ready to help others, putting their needs before her own. She had a joyful spirit, a deep love for music and dancing, and a warmth that uplifted everyone she met. Her nurturing presence and unwavering support made her a cherished friend, mother, and grandmother.
Lori began her professional journey as a dental assistant and, through hard work and dedication, rose to management positions at two thriving dental practices. Her leadership, professionalism, and kindness left a lasting impact on both patients and colleagues.
Lori's memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her legacy of love, laughter, and selflessness will never be forgotten.
A celebration of life will be held by the family at a later date.
