Loretta E. Doyley

Loretta E. (Bailey) Doyley, age 94, formerly of Lawrence, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 14, 2026, surrounded by her loving family at her home in Haverhill. Born in 1931 in St. Andrew, Jamaica, she was the cherished daughter of the late Bernice Bailey.

Loretta was the beloved mother of Brenton Billet, Tom Billet, Errol Doyley, Claude Doyley, Sonia Billet, Jasmine Doyley, Novlette Scafe, Paulette Marshall, and Alvet Doyley. She was the adored grandmother of 24 grandchildren, and is survived by many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her mother, she is predeceased by all her siblings and her husband Henrick Doyley, with whom she now reunites in eternal rest.

A woman of deep faith, boundless generosity, and unwavering strength; Loretta built a life defined by service, love, and devotion to both her family and her community. Known affectionately as "Mother Doyley" or "Mama," Loretta had a gift for bringing people together. Her home was a place of welcome, laughter, and nourishment. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit lives on in the many lives she touched and the generations she shaped with her love.

Relatives and Friends are invited to Visiting Hours on Friday, February 27, 2026 from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street, Methuen. Her Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2026 at 10:00 am at Rehoboth Lighthouse Full Gospel Church, 409 Washington Street, Haverhill. Viewing will be from 9:00 am – 10:00 am at the church. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen.
