Loretta Marie (Piazza) Eames, of Weymouth, passed away on August 5th, 2025 surrounded by her loving family . She was one month shy of her 90th birthday.
Loretta was the daughter of the late Alessandro and Rose (Morello) Piazza . She was born and raised in East Boston. She was a graduate of Girls High School in 1953. She met her husband the late Edward James "Eddie" Eames at her best friend's wedding. They were married in May of 1957. Eddie and Loretta remained in East Boston where they raised their 3 children. She worked at Logan Airport as a supervisor for Aircraft Services for many years . After she was widowed at the age of 53 she sought employment at John Hancock Life Insurance Company in Boston as an Administrative Assistant. She retired from there at age 65.
Loretta would always make time for her delightful pleasures. Her family and grandkids were a priority. Cooking Sunday dinners for them brought her joy . Some of her specialties were pasta and meatballs with "gravy", home made pizza and artichokes . She greatly enjoyed her fun and entertainment . Bingo (top of the list) , playing cards, trips to the casino and working on complicated jigsaw puzzles which she would frame and handoff to her grandchildren. Loretta took pride in her precious collectables that were purchased during shopping excursions where she would "make a day of it" with dear friends.
