Glen Allen Eames, was born on September 23, 1949, in Ogden, Utah and departed this life on August 12, 2025. A compassionate man of many talents and a creative spirit, Glen was a bright spark in the lives of those who knew him. His quick wit and lively humor brought joy and laughter to his family and friends and will continue to live on in the hearts of all who loved him.
Glen was born and raised in
Roy, Utah, and was a man of many passions. He had a deep love for horses and was an enthusiastic fan of all types of racing, but his greatest love was his family. He was predeceased by his parents, Darwood and Sarah Eames and two brothers; David and Merrill Eames. Glen fought a long hard battle with his lungs, showing great courage and resilience in the face of his health struggles. He succumbed to rejection of a double lung transplant.
As author Leo Buscaglia once said, "Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around." Glen embodied this sentiment, showing great compassion and kindness in his interactions with others. His life was marked by his creative talents and the joy he found in his family and horses.
Glen is survived by his wife of 38 plus years, Sara. They were married March of 1987.
Three children:
Angie - "He was always cracking jokes and had an easy laid-back way about him that made friends with everyone. He loved researching health topics and had a passion for race horses."
Allen - "He kept mom on her toes with his jokes and banter, dove into new ideas with endless curiosity and could fix just about anything - except maybe her fiery spirit."
Craig - "He was a master of anything mechanical. He thought me many great live skills. Glen was a great father and husband and I will most definitely miss him."
One grandson Braxton and six siblings: Barbara, Steve, Sue, Joan, Connie, and Carrol.
