Loretta Emery Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by DeLozier Funeral Service on Jan. 2, 2026.
Private family services are planned to celebrate and remember the life of Loretta Jean Emery. Loretta passed away in Tulsa, on Tuesday, December 30, 2025. She was 64 years old.

Born in Oxnard, California on November 29, 1961, to Orice and Katheryn (Lang) Dayton. Loretta was raised and educated in Tulsa and graduated from Tulsa Public Schools. She continued her education receiving two years of college credit. On April 4, 2010, in Claremore, OK, Loretta married the love of her life William "Bill" Emery, and the couple made their home in Chelsea. Loretta was the mother of one son, Chris. She helped provide for her family working as an accountant in the credit card industry and as a housekeeper at the Veterans Center in Claremore.

A lady that was born to be outside, Loretta loved everything about it. Fishing and camping at Wheeler's Cove on the Grand River was one of her favorite destinations. She liked to garden and many times could be found in the yard planting flowers or just sitting on the porch swing watching the hummingbirds. Loretta liked to read and listen to country music and one of her favorite artists was Don Williams. A huge NFL football fan according to her family. Loretta really liked all the teams but her personal favorite was the Green Bay Packers. She was a care giver to her mother before she passed away. Loretta made sure her mother's days were filled with activities and many times the two of them would slip off to the Racino in Claremore. Not so much Loretta's choice but her mom loved to go there.

A lady that has lived her life making sure each day counted. Loretta is survived by her husband Bill, son, Chris Dayton, grandchildren, Christopher Wayne "CJ" Dayton, and Ryland Dayton, sister, Sheri Williams and husband Wendell, and many other extended family members. Loretta was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Linda Dayton and brother, Gary Dayton.
