Loretta Roberts Ferguson, formerly of Stinnett, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2025, in Centerville, Ohio. She was 78 years old. Born on March 1, 1947, in Stinnett, Kentucky, Loretta was the cherished daughter of the late, Rev. Jim Roberts and Oakie Smith Roberts, now deceased.
Loretta graduated high school and dedicated her career to General Motors, where she was known for her hard work and friendly demeanor. Above all, she was a loving and kind individual whose greatest pride came from her roles as mother, grandmother, and wife. She was deeply committed to her family and found immense joy in the lives of her children and grandchildren.
She leaves behind a loving family including her son, Joseph Ferguson, and daughter-in-law, Lindsay; stepson, Rick Ferguson, and daughter-in-law, Shelley; grandchildren, Ethan Ryder Ferguson and Camden Mathew Ferguson, sisters, Margie Vaughn and Annalee Hoskins; brothers: Rev. Eugene 'Friday' Roberts and wife Barbara, Rev. Logan Roberts, and James Quintin Roberts and wife Wilma; sisters-in-law, Belvia Roberts and Judy Roberts; as well as special friends and in-laws, Clay and Mary Burns. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Loretta is preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Jim Roberts and Oakie Smith Roberts, husband, Clayton Ferguson and brothers & sisters, Bobby Roberts and Carl Samuel Roberts, Pauline Collins and Imogene Morgan. Loretta had a deep appreciation for life's simple pleasures, spending her time engaged in reading, crossword and word-search puzzles, and fostering connections with children and grandchildren, which reflected her nurturing spirit.
Funeral: Saturday, March 22, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at the Lower Middlefork Pentecostal Church, Asher, KY.
Ministers: Tim Finley and Jeffery Hacker
Visitation: Sat. March 22nd at 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. at the Lower Middlefork Pentecostal Church
Interment: Jim Roberts Family Cemetery, Stinnett, Kentucky
Pallbearers: Bobby Thomas, Trenton Thomas, Andy Disney, Craig Roberts, Jim Roberts, Bobby Cordelle Roberts, Steve Roberts
Honorary Pallbearers: Quentin Roberts, Rev. Eugene Roberts, and Rev. Logan Roberts
