Loretta "Lorrie" Lee JeRue age 83 of Saranac passed away January 13, 2024. She was born November 9, 1940 in Boston Twp. the daughter of Kenyon W.G. and Madeline L. (Kyser) Vickery. She graduated from Saranac High School with the Class of 1958. Lorrie worked for Ken's Market, previously McCords Market, for several years. She also worked for WION radio station in Ionia and Everlasting Embroidery Apparel in Sales.
Lorrie enjoyed participating in Bowling and Softball Leagues in her younger years. She was a longtime and diehard Minnesota Vikings Fan. Lorrie loved U of M football and had a passion for showing horses.
Lorrie is survived by her three grandchildren; Caresse (Tyler) Sprague of Canton, Aubrey (Jonathan) Winfield of Grand Rapids and Arielle (Robert) Mariduena of Grand Rapids. Seven great grandchildren; Isla Sprague, Hazel Sprague, Paxton Winfield, Emry Winfield, Tate Winfield, Wesley Mariduena and Leo Mariduena. Sister Sandra Hawkins of Ionia. Brother Vaughn (Sonia) Vickery of Saranac. Daughter in law Linda Matthews. Several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by both parents, her son Christopher JeRue, sister Valerie Lordly and brother in laws, Kevin Lordly and Mike Hawkins.
Funeral Services will be at the Lake Funeral Home in Saranac Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at 1 p.m. with Pastor Mark Hall officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday from Noon until the time of services.
