Loretta Keating

Loretta Ann Keating, 66, of Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina passed away on Monday, June 23rd, 2025 peacefully with her family by her side.
Loretta was born in Bayonne, New Jersey October 1958. Loretta was a graduate of Bayonne High School class of 1976 and while residing in Bayonne, Loretta met the love of her life and wed February 1977.
Following the birth of her third son, Loretta and family moved to Neptune, New Jersey.
While raising her three sons, Loretta worked for Holy Innocents School and Parish until her retirement in 2019.
Upon retirement, Loretta and her husband moved to Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina where they would enjoy many days on the beach looking for wild ponies or driving through the National Park looking for black bears.
Loretta was a member of the Shark River Beach and Yacht Club and The Fraternal Order of Eagles where she regularly volunteered time to set up parties, cook, and bake- a favorite pastime of hers. She enjoyed bingo, poker, and was a huge fan of the New York Giants.
Loretta was predeceased by her parents, Victor and Eleanor Cicconetti, and her brothers, Dennis Cicconetti and Michael Cicconetti. Loretta is survived by her husband of 48 years, Louis Keating, Sr. and her loving sons, Louis Keating Jr. and his wife Ashley of Kill Devil Hills, Joseph Keating and his wife Ashly of Winter Garden, Florida, and Thomas Keating and his wife Sonia of Long Branch, New Jersey, her beloved grandsons, Kane and Grady Keating, her two brothers and sister, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Friends and family are invited to view from 4pm to 8pm on Day, June 30, 2025 at the Ely Funeral Home, Neptune. A funeral mass will be held on Day, July 1, 2025 at 10am at Holy Innocents Church in Neptune followed by Loretta's internment at Saint Anne's Cemetery, Wall Township.
