Loretta (Zoerner Forker Christman) Kilduff
Loretta Kilduff passed away peacefully on January 7, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Loretta Kathryn Zoerner was born on January 30, 1931, and lived an amazing and fulfilling life of 94 years, devoted to her family. She was predeceased by her parents, Alfred Zoerner and Ethel Weisenrieder, and her sole cherished sibling, Herbert Zoerner.
Loretta is now most certainly in heaven with her beloved first husband, James Owen Forker, whom she met on Jones Beach, Long Island. Jimmy filled their life with love and laughter. They raised a happy family for a brief 20 years when Jimmy passed away suddenly at 41 years old of heart failure. Jimmy created more memories for his wife and family than most humans do in double that amount of time. He was the lifeblood which created a dynamo in Loretta.
Loretta was a wonderful mother and friend to her daughters, Cheryl Foraker (Les) and Jamie Kelly (Rick), and her only son Mark Owen Forker (Susan). She was a proud "Grandmom" to 8 grandchildren and "GGmom" to 5 great- grandchildren, all of whom she adored. She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will forever remember her warmth, her charm, and her generous heart.
Loretta was born in Manhattan and grew up in Astoria and Bellmore on Long Island, and no matter where she lived, which included Virginia and Pennsylvania, the classy New Yorker was always part of her identity. Loretta spent the majority of her life as a considerate and loving mother, but Loretta also had a career as an award-winning property manager at both Bucks County and Philadelphia multi-family living complexes. Her career portfolio included varied positions such as realtor, restaurant hostess, taste tester, vitamin specialist, dental assistant, and yes, she could do it all!
In 1994, Loretta was married again to long-time friend and former neighbor, Robert Christman, whose wife, Dorcas, had also passed away. Loretta, Jimmy, Bob, and Dorcas were fun-loving 'peas in a pod' back in the day. Rejoined with Bob once again, her life was filled with great friendship and joy. Bob and Loretta enjoyed traveling to New York, Florida, California, and Colorado to be together with their families.
Bob left us too soon and some years later, Loretta met and married Jack Kilduff. Jack's wife had also passed and in their misfortune, they found each other. You would think Loretta had met her first love all over again. Jack was her rock. They found new life in their 70s and 80s together with relatives and friends for Friday night dinners, trips to the shore, Sunday night suppers, and many joy-filled gatherings that brought together all their relatives for fun and merriment.
Loretta will be remembered for her smile, resilience, and unconditional love for her children and their families, as well as many of her friends, all of whom considered Loretta their best friend. She was a loyal confidant and once you were Loretta's friend, you were a friend for life! Loretta's joyful spirit was felt mostly in the way she made everyone feel. For so many people, her presence will be deeply missed.
