Loretta King Obituary
Funeral is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 7th, 2024 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Decatur with burial at Alvord Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Pastor Michael Feese will officiate.
Loretta was born February 27th, 1941 to Otis Emil and Myrtle (Brown) McKee in Plainview, Texas. She was united in marriage June 1st, 1963 to Jerry King in Plainview, Texas. Loretta graduated from Texas Woman's University with a bachelor's degree and retired from teaching after many years in the education industry, teaching last at Chico Elementary. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many who will dearly miss her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Otis and Myrtle McKee.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of over 60 years, Jerry King of Alvord; her son, Kris King, and wife Staci of Alvord; her daughter, Melissa Haworth and husband Tommy of Alvord; 6 grandchildren, Brittni Anderson, Chaz King, Samantha Haworth, Kaleb Crable, Kendra Thomas, and Bethanie Haworth; 9 great-grandchildren; her sister, Virginia Wilder and husband Jim; extended family members and a host of friends.
