Loretta Marie Simon Trosclair

Loretta Marie Simon Trosclair passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2025 at the age of 90. She was born in St. Rose, LA on April 1, 1935. She was a resident of Highway Park Subdivision in Kenner, Louisiana for the last 61 years.
Daughter of the late Richard Pie Simon and the late Annita Lily Babin Simon, sister of Richard Simon Jr., the late Earnest Simon and the late Ralph Simon.
Beloved wife of the late Lloyd Joseph Trosclair, Sr.
Loving mother of Perry Michael Trosclair, Lloyd Joseph Trosclair Jr., Angela Trosclair Nelson (David), the late Brian David Trosclair (Linda) and Lawrence Jayson Trosclair (Cynthia).
Grandmother of Shawn Campbell (Jordan), Angelle Mehrtens (Donnie), Daniel, Benjamin, and Michelle Nelson, Lauren Rosiere (John), Tara Taylor (Steven), Casey Trosclair, and Christopher Trosclair (Gemma).
Great grandmother of Jacob, Vivian, Laila, Jace, Shayla, LJ, Evan, Vincent and Kenna.
Also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.

She worked at Waterworks in Destrehan and in Jefferson for a couple of years, loved working in the garden and cutting anyone's grass, helped raise the grandchildren, was a great cook, made everyone feel welcomed and included at her home, loved sharing a cup of coffee, Pop Rouge Float, Pina Coladas and conversations with anyone who came to visit, loved to cook every other Sunday for her family which became known as Granny's Weekend, hosted many birthdays, holidays and celebrations at her house.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Visitation at L. A. Muhleisen & Son Funeral Home, 2607 Williams Blvd., Kenner on Friday, May 30, 2025 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday, May 31, 2025 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 13396 River Rd., Destrehan, LA. Interment in St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery, Destrehan, LA.
