Loretta Gayle Elliott Petty

Loretta Gayle Elliott Petty, 84, of Spartanburg died January 11, 2026 at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Gayle was born January 7, 1942 in Spartanburg, SC to the late Herbert Elliott and late Stella Lemons Brazil. She was the widow of Harold D. Petty who passed in 2008.

Gayle was a homemaker and always had beautiful flower gardens and loved her faithful companion cat, Tasha, both brought her much joy.

Surviving are her two daughters: Debra Caldwell Spencer (Dean) and Dana Hambright, both of Spartanburg, SC; three grandchildren, Adam Spencer (Tiffani) of Spartanburg, SC, Jessica Spencer (Micheal) of Memphis, TN, and Dale Robertson of Spartanburg, SC; eight great grandchildren, Savannah Hull, Scarlett Spencer, Sebastian Spencer all of Spartanburg, SC, Madison Craig, Jaylynn Craig, Allison Craig and Michael Allen Craig, all of Memphis TN, and Leia Robertson of Spartanburg, SC; her brother, Bryant Elliott (Sandy); and several nephews and a niece.
