Mrs. Loretta Mae Pickard

Mrs. Loretta Mae Pickard, 89, of Barbourville, passed away Sunday afternoon, November 26, 2023 at the Barbourville ARH Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Roy B. and Mivy West born on December 25, 1933 at Brush Creek.
Loretta was a homemaker and a member of the Apple Grove Baptist Church. In earlier years, she enjoyed sewing and collecting dolls.
On September 6, 1951, she united in marriage with Bobby J. Pickard, who preceded her in death.
Other family members who preceded her in death include a son, David Pickard; a daughter, Jan Smith and a brother, Roy B. West Jr.
Survivors include her loving children, Doug Pickard and wife, Julie, of Mansfield, OH, Charles Pickard and wife, Kathy, and Joe Pickard and wife, Deana, all of Barbourville; a sister, Lorene Taylor of Mt. Victory; 16 grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren; among other loved ones and dear friends.
Her funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Monday, December 4 at 1 P.M. with Rev. Sylvester Dunn officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Mayhew Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be Christopher Pickard, Robert Alexander, Dustin Ganoe, Zach Pickard, Alex Patterson and Casey Patterson.
Friends may visit at the funeral home Monday after 12 Noon until the funeral hour.
