Loretta Anne Ranalli

Loretta Anne Ranalli (O'Neill), age 89, formerly from Syosset, NY, passed away on June 13, 2025.
Born on July 26, 1935, in Queens, NY, Loretta was the beloved daughter of Edward O'Neil and Loretta Joyce O'Neill.
She is survived by her four loving children: Ernest (the late Marian) Ranalli, Thomas Ranalli, Loretta (Tom) Jacobs, and Andrew (Lauren) Ranalli and her cherished grandchildren: Marissa (Aki), Jennifer, Lauren, Emily, and Ryan.
She was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Ernest R. Ranalli, daughter Maryann, and daughter-in-law, Marian Ranalli.
Loretta graduated from St. John's University and worked briefly as a grade school teacher before dedicating herself fully to raising her family. A devoted mother and grandmother, Loretta placed strong emphasis on education, character, and compassion - values reflected in the lives and accomplishments of her children and grandchildren.
Loretta enjoyed a successful second career as a real estate agent in Syosset after her children were grown and enjoyed spending time in Florida during the winters. She had a lifelong love of animals, enjoyed bridge games with her friends and had a gentle, protective spirit.
Loretta will be remembered for her quiet strength, selfless love, and deep devotion to
her family.
