Loretta S. Reagan

Loretta Reagan, 85, of Herrin, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2025 in her own room at her daughter's home in Herrin.
Loretta worked 35 years for the Herrin Unemployment Office as a secretary and stenographer for the manager.
Loretta was a lifelong member of the Second Baptist Church in Herrin.
Loretta was born May 2, 1939 in Herrin, Illinois to Ben & Nan (Nash) Hardcastle.
Loretta married Charles W. "Chuck" Reagan on March 17, 1962 at the Second Baptist Church in Herrin. He preceded her in death on November 10, 2022.
She is survived by her two daughters and son-in-law, Kimbra "Kim" & Jett Crouse of Herrin and Debra Cole of Herrin; nine grandchildren, Sarah & John Gund, Elijah & Bethany Crouse, Emma & Gavin Perry, Andrew Crouse, Johnathan Crouse, Rebekah Crouse, David Crouse, Cassandra & Brandon Threlkeld and Grayce Cole; fourteen great grandchildren, Isaiah, Gwyneth, Chole, Josiah, Caleb, Kayana, Elizabeth, Miriam, Micaiah, Olivia, Saylor, Ryker, Odelia, Katherine and two great grandchildren on the way; sister, Pat Sowman of Herrin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; son, Billy Reagan; grandson, Caleb Cole; Parents, brothers, Bob Hardcastle, Ray Hardcastle, Bill Hardcastle, Lemone Hardcastle, Charles Hardcastle, and Ben Hardcastle; and sisters, Maxine Hoppe, Olga Sturm, and Edwina Hardcastle.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at Meredith-Waddell Funeral Home in Herrin with Rev. Josh Wehrmeier. officiating. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will be at Herrin City Cemetery in Herrin. Memorial donations may be made to Second Baptist Church, 900 South 11th Street, Herrin, IL 62948; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
