Loretta Joy Wilson

Loretta Joy Wilson, 71, of Kansas, Oklahoma, passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at the St. Francis Hospital in Muskogee, Oklahoma.

Loretta was born on December 25, 1954, in Kenwood, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Ellis Kirk and Edith Chancelor Kirk. She married Claud Alan Wilson on June 2, 1973. Loretta worked for several companies including Gates Rubber Company in Siloam Springs before retiring. She loved flower gardening, traveling and spending time with her family. She was a member of the Lowery Freewill Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Jeffrey Wilson and Kenneth Wilson; one grandson, Drannon Wilson; and a half-brother, Melvin Johnson.

She is survived by her husband, Alan Wilson of the home; four brothers, Ronnie Kirk and wife Sandy, Darrell Kirk and wife Jennifer, Rick Kirk and wife Karen, and Robert Kirk; four grandchildren, Chance Wilson and wife Katelyn, Kami, Ty and Brenley; a great granddaughter, Raelynn Wilson; along with many other family members and friends.

Visitation will be held at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Siloam Springs on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm

Funeral services will be held at 10:00am on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at Lowery Freewill Baptist Church in Kansas, Oklahoma. Pastor Bryson Bailey will officiate the service with burial being conducted at the Kansas Cemetery.
