Lori Kay Card, 61, passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at her home in Des Moines, Iowa. A celebration of life will be held at the 36 West Clubhouse (3113 NW Linwood Lane, Ankeny, IA 50023) on Sunday, August 17, 2025, from 1:00 -3:00 p.m.

Lori was born on June 19, 1964, in Hampton, Iowa, to Larry Card and Marie Card Eilderts (Junker). Lori attended and graduated from Hampton High School in 1982. From there, she attended NIACC in Mason City, IA. She later moved to Des Moines, IA with her son Tyler and began working at the Bulk Mail Center for the United States Post Office. She moved on to become a mail carrier, and retired from the Post Office in September of 2023.

Lori is survived by her mother, Marie Card Eilderts of Hampton, IA; her son, Tyler Card (Jadie) of Ankeny, IA; two grandchildren, Lily and Brock Card, also of Ankeny, IA; her sister, Sherry (Card) Kuhn Mansfield of MO; two nephews, Joshua Kuhn of Mansfield, MO, and Jacob Kuhn (Chelsea) of Seymour, MO; one niece, Leatha Cook of Mansfield, MO; as well as five great-nieces and five great-nephews, all from Missouri.

She is preceded in death by her father, Larry Card of Mansfield, MO; her stepfather, Wendell Eilderts of Hampton, IA; her maternal grandparents, William and Louise Junker of Hampton, IA; and her paternal grandparents, Chauncey and Edna Card of Hampton, IA.
