Lori Ann Conroy

Lori Ann Conroy, born on December 9, 1966, in Wells, Minnesota, passed away October 22, 2024, in Albert Lea, Minnesota. Born to Ronald and Judy Baumann, Lori was raised in Albert Lea alongside her brother, Jeff.

A graduate of Emmons High School in 1985, Lori relished her time on the volleyball team. She obtained her CNA license and worked for many years caring for others in need; she was especially passionate about her work in multiple dementia units in the area. Lori also cherished her work as a loving mother to two children- Codi and Kayla, but her proudest accomplishment are her four grandchildren. On April 20, 2009, Lori married Todd Conroy in Mason City, Iowa-the two shared many adventures, traveling and experiencing the world together, hand in hand.

Lori was always one to run on her own schedule, a characteristic that was endearing to those around her, and when she wasn't caring for others, Lori enjoyed knitting and bird watching.

Lori is survived by her devoted husband, Todd; son Codi (Angel) Thompson; daughter Kayla (Chris) Moon; four grandchildren: Presley and Remi Thompson, and Cohen and Kade Moon; her brother Jeff (Bri) Baumann; step-father Dick Schubbe; mother-in-law Pat Haan; brothers-in-law Jeff (Heidi) Conroy and their children as well as Troy (Michelle) Conroy and their children; father-in-law Chuck (Nancy) Conroy. She leaves behind four nieces, Mackenzie Huntington, Mallory Baumann, Dana Baumann, and Maddie Paton; and nephew, Gavin Paton. The companionship of her beloved boxer, Otis, will continue to remind her family of Lori's warmth and love.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Ronald Baumann and Judy Schubbe, as well as her infant daughter, Kacy Thompson.

A celebration of Lori's remarkable journey will take place at Bonnerup Funeral & Cremation Services in Albert Lea, Minnesota, on October 31, 2024, beginning at 10:00 AM, followed by services at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude’s Children's Hospital in Lori's honor.
