Lori Emert

Lori Emert, age 67, passed away peacefully on January 6, 2026. She was born on January 26, 1958, in Bellingham, Washington, and was raised in Lynden, where she formed lifelong connections.
Lori dedicated many years of her professional life to banking in Everson, Lynden, and Bellingham. She was an avid sports mom who rarely missed her children's games and enthusiastically supported them in their many activities. In her later years, Lori became a devoted Seattle Mariners fan and enjoyed watching games while visiting with friends and family.
She is survived by her brother, Larry Vandekamp; sister, Sharon Engels; and brother-in-law, Terry Engels. She was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Gena Vandekamp, and her parents, John and Lise VandeKamp.
Lori was a devoted mother and grandmother. She is survived by her son, Jason Emert (Kathleen), and their children, Elsie (5) and Amelia (3); by her daughter, Lindsey Bradshaw (Darrell), and their son, Lincoln (10); and by her lifelong partner, Jeff Emert.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on January 23, 2026 in Monumenta Cemetery, followed by a 3 p.m. memorial service and reception at Gilles Funeral Home in Lynden, Washington.
