Lori Folden, 66, of Garrison, passed away on July 23, 2025, at her home in Garrison, ND. Lori Gail Zieman born on February 5, 1959, in Minot died peacefully in her home on July 23, 2025. She graduated from Makoti in 1977 and married Walter Folden in February 1978. From this union they had four children. She worked at Myers Meats' for 14 years where her coworkers became more like family to her. After leaving Myers she worked at Parshall High School as a paraprofessional. She loved her students almost as much as they loved and cherished her. After leaving Parshall High School she and four of her siblings moved to Garrison, ND in 2021 to be closer to their parents. During this transition to Garrison Lori and her siblings became closer than they had ever been before. In Garrison she worked at Benedictine nursing home where she made some wonderful new friends and loved her residents. She was able to make anyone laugh even when she wasn't trying by being her wonderfully goofy self. She loved being in her garden, cooking amazing food for her kids (who couldn't get enough of it), and hanging out with her grandchildren, who were her pride and joy. Her grandchildren loved their grandma Lori and will miss her dearly. She is preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Zieman; her sister, Jane Stacy; and former husband Walter Folden. She is survived by her children, Tristen (Maritza) Folden and their son Henry; Ashley (Aaron) and their children, Lindy and Dax; Cody (Josie) and their kids, Adalina, Ollivander, and Lucinda; Chrys (Ethan) and their three cats; her father, Robert Zieman; and her siblings, Joani, David, Diane, Lisa, and Larry. A celebration of life will be held at the Folden Farm (6751 26th St NW, Ryder, ND 58779) August 16, 2025, at 2:00 PM.
