Lori Ellen Haddix died on May 25, 2025 after a brief illness. She was born on January 19, 1960 in Midland, attending schools there. She worked in food service in many restaurants around Midland. She loved to cook, with baking being her favorite job and also her hobby. Her family really looked forward to her special Ginger Cookies every Christmas. In her retirement years, she enjoyed working for Door Dash and Instacart.
When Lori was young, her family went to visit her grandparents every Sunday at their farm in Gladwin. It was there that she developed a life-long love of animals. She had many pets over the years, the most recent being her two beautiful Russian Blue cats. She also doted on her eight grandnieces and nephews, Moira, Henry, Bronwyn, Gwen, Rhona, Hugh, Anneka and Hans Broestl.
Lori was preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Hazel Haddix; brother Jim (Nancy) Haddix; and sister, Lynne (Woody) Hurkley.
She is survived by her brother, Lee (Susan) Haddix; nieces, Erin Broestl and Leigh Ann Haddix; and nephews, Chris, Sam, and Ben Haddix.
