Lori A. Meese, of Dover, passed away on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at the age of 56.
Born on December 28, 1968 in Dover, she was a daughter of James and Robin Swinderman Meese of Dover.
She served as the manager of Daily Threads in New Philadelphia. Prior to this role, she dedicated many years as the assistant manager for Gorants.
She was a 1987 graduate of Dover High School, and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dover. Lori cherished her time spent outdoors, particularly enjoying walks with her good friend, Amy Korns. She found joy in reading and traveling with her fiance Steve, often embarking on weekend trips that brought her happiness and adventure. Her beloved dog, Winston, was a constant source of companionship and love.
In addition to her parents, Lori is also survived by her sister, Melissa (Jack) Caldwell of Tuscarawas; fiance, Steven Dennis of Dover; nephew, Logan (Brooklyn) Caldwell; great niece, Melody Jane Caldwell, who was born on June 21st; aunt, Darleen Owen of California; uncle, Richard (Jan) Meese of Colorado; cousins, Mark, Shawn and Jenna Owen, Debbie Stephens, Kris (Aleece) Meese.
She was preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandparents; aunt, Brenda Kay Meese, and cousin, Shelly Corrington.
A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 27th starting at 11:00 am in the St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Jimmy Hatfield officiating. Interment will be in the St. Joseph Calvary Cemetery, Dover. There are no public calling hours. The Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover is handling arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church at 613 North Tuscarawas Ave., Dover, Ohio 44622 or to Ohio's Hospice Truman House at 716 Commercial Ave SW, New Philadelphia, Ohio 44663.
