David L. Meese, 58, of New Philadelphia, a cherished brother and friend, passed away Thursday, June 26, 2025, at Akron, following a period of declining health.
Born at Dover, David was the son of the late Melvin and Mary Lou (Armstrong) Meese and a graduate from Indian Valley High School, where he forged lasting memories and friendships.
David approached life with a diligent spirit, until his health necessitated a change. Although this challenge brought significant hardship, David remained a constant source of positivity in the lives of those around him.
One of David's greatest delights was his love for films, especially when it involved the latest monster movies. His enthusiasm extended beyond the big screen; he had a particular fondness for television, eagerly following his favorite programs.
Those who knew David were also aware of his keen eye for a good bargain. Always one to keep up on grocery sales, he would read the ads and meticulously find the best deals. This simple joy illustrated his thoughtful nature and ability to find pleasure in everyday life.
Most notably, David shared an exceptionally close bond with his brother, Jeffrey Meese and his sister, Kristina Meese both of the residence. Their relationship was a testament to the love and support that family can provide. Also surviving is his “Special Aunt,” Deb Hamilton of Tuscarawas and numerous other aunts, uncles and cousins.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation care is to be provided by the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 3, 2025 from 4 to 6 PM in the funeral home.
