David B. Huff, 82, of Dover, passed away Tuesday, October 7, 2025 in his home after a period of declining health.
Born May 14, 1943, in Barberton, Ohio he was the son of the late Willard Charles and Edith Marcella (Gerhart) Huff.
After graduating from New Philadelphia High School, David served in the US Army. He then began a long career as a bridge inspector for ODOT and a farmer on his family farm.
He was an avid outdoorsman. David especially loved coon hunting, trapping, and deer hunting. He was a former member of the Tuscarawas County Coon Club. He also supported the youth of Tuscarawas County 4-H for years.
He is survived by his son, Michael (Penny) Huff of Dover; grandchildren, Jordan (Deveni) Huff, Carissa (Jesse) Gambs, and Ashley (Jeff) Huff; and six great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in passing by his son, Terry Huff; and sister, Connie Huff.
The family will greet guests on Wednesday, October 15, 2025 from 5-7 PM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home and Crematory at New Philadelphia.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Tuscarawas County Humane Society, 1432 Tall Timber Rd. NE, New Philadelphia, OH 44663 in memory of David.
