Linda Sue Henley Stemple 76 of New Philadelphia, passed away Monday October 6, 2025 at the Truman House following declining health. She was born on April 9, 1949 in Marietta, OH to the late George Sr and Virgina (Coffman) Henley. She attended New Philadelphia High School where she met her husband James Stemple Sr. and married December 1967. She was a nurses aid at Union Hospital, secretary for First Baptist Church in New Phila., and retired as a school secretary for Grace Christian Academy. Linda most loved being a grandma and had many adventures with them, and being with her family anytime she could.
She will be dearly missed by her children – daughter Annette(Brian) Kochur, Jeff(Debbie) Stemple; grandchildren – Isaac(Taylor) Stemple, Micaiah Stemple, Zain(Chelsea) Marshall, Isaiah Stemple, Tyler Martin and Gracy Martin, and great-grandson, Finley James Marshall.
Linda will also be greatly missed by sister in law's Brenda Henley, Cresta Henley, Karen Maddox and brother in law, Mark(Don) Stemple and many numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 yrs. James Sr., infant son, James Jr., brothers, George Henley Jr. and Bernard Henley, sisters-in-law, Kathy Henley and Sandra Hall, and her in law's David and Mary Jane Stemple.
Honoring Linda's wishes there will be no services with a family celebration of life at a later date.
