Lori Norman, 59, of Columbia, MO, passed away on Friday, April 18, 2025, at Boone Hospital Center. A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, May 2, 2025, at Progressive Baptist Church at 5:00PM.
Lori Ann Norman, 59 of Columbia, Missouri passed away on Friday, April 18, 2025, at Boone Hospital Center.
Lori was born February 2, 1966, in Dumas, Arkansas and was part of the Oakwood Bayou community. She was the tenth and second daughter of eleven Children from George Norman Sr and Joyce Owens Norman.
Lori accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at St Stephens Baptist Church in the Oakwood Bayou community.
Lori graduated from Rock Bridge High School Class of '84 in Columbia, Missouri.
Lori worked various jobs in the Columbia area including healthcare professional to owning of her own home daycare.
Lori married Johnie Tatum, 2005. To this union one child was born, Demetrius John.
Lori was the baby sister but had the biggest personality of all the siblings. She took care of our family in any way she could. She was known as the information hub for the family.
Her parents and four brothers (Peter Norman, Robert Norman, John Norman and Larry Norman preceded her in death.
Lori Leaves to celebrate and cherish her memories, her life partner, Dale Shelley of Columbia, her son Demetrius Tatum of Columbia, three bonus children, Jerron Quantail Tatum (Rachel), of Marshall, Mo, Roqueshia Ronyea and Juanquial Monyette Tatum of Columbia, Mo, Five Brothers George Jr (Allene) of Columbia, Mo, Wendell (Brenda) of Broken Arrow, OK, Octavius (Pam) of Florissant Mo, Edward (Bobbie) of Columbia and Jason of Memphis, Tn and one sister Lisa Turner(Alan) of Columbia Mo. Two sisters-in-law Elsie Norman of Columbia Mo and Brenda Norman of Dumas, Arkansas. Lori has a bonus granddaughter and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Lori will dearly be missed by her loving family and friends. Lifelong friend Toni Lowe, Dumas Arkansas and host of others that has had the opportunity to cross her journey.
