Lori Jean Livingston Reimer passed away on October 12, 2024. She was born Lori Jean Livingston on May 10, 1955, to Don Livingston and Arlene Schroeder. She married Billy Reimer on November 19, 1983, where she became stepmom to children Jodi, Laurie, and Keith. She then welcomed daughter Allison in February 1985, son Nathan in August 1988, and son Matthew in January 1991.
She was preceded in death by her parents Don & Arlene, her stepfather Ray Schroeder, three brothers Terry, Scott, & Brad Livingston, husband Billy Reimer, and daughter Allison Reimer.
Surviving are her partner Raymond Weitzel, stepmother Judy Livingston, stepbrother Quoc Giang & Bill Schroeder, children: Nathan (& Katlyn) Reimer, Matthew Reimer (& Will Storch), Jodi Campbell, Laurie (& Nathan) Hacker, Keith (& Tracey) Reimer, grandchildren: Veronica (& Chris), Alexia (& Levi), Kelsi, Kaleb, Anabelle, Knox, Sawyer, Darah, and Hazel and two great-granddaughters: Cora & Wrenlley.
Lori loved helping people. She worked as a nurse at OSF, worked at Central Illinois Agency on Aging, and served as the Parish Nurse at Salem Lutheran Church. She hosted numerous blood drives for the American Red Cross. Helping people was her calling.
Since 2015, Lori has collected bears and stuffed animals in memory of her daughter Allison, to donate to the Children's Hospital. She collected well over 2,000 animals in total.
Family was everything to Lori. From her kids and grands/great grands, to her nieces and nephews, Lori was there for everyone. She would be at whatever events she could, cheering in the stands for ball games, watching performances, attending graduations, you name it, Lori would celebrate it.
We will be celebrating Lori's life and mourning her passing on Wednesday, October 16 and Thursday, October 17. Visitation is on Wednesday October 16 from 4-7 pm at Wilton Mortuary on Knoxville Avenue in Peoria. Funeral will be on October 17 at 11 am with visitation one hour prior at Salem Lutheran Church on War Memorial Drive in Peoria.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Red Cross or Cuddles with Kindness. We will also be collecting bears to donate to Cuddles with Kindness in her memory.
