Judith "Judy" Doerr

Judith "Judy" K. Doerr, 85, formerly of Peoria, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 1, 2026, at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.

Judy was born on January 1, 1941, in Peoria, to Henry and Cathryn Hollis. She married Willie Doerr, Sr., on January 11, 1962.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Doerr, Sr.; her parents; three brothers, Richard, Donald, and Patrick; and two sisters, Lela and Mary.

Judy is survived by three sons, Steve (May) Doerr of Germantown Hills; Willie (Mary) Doerr of Groveland; and Scott (Lisa) Doerr of Germantown Hills; six grandchildren, Jeramy, Samantha, Logan, Austin, Cameron, and Morgan; three great grandchildren, Maverick, Layla, and Ripley.

She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Parish for over 50 years.

Judy worked at OSF St. Francis in housekeeping, where she was promoted to tending to the priests' quarters. She loved to cook and would frequently have the priests over to her home for authentic German meals. While working at the priests' quarters she became close friends with Monsignor Bliss and remained close friends to her end of life. Judy also loved the holidays, getting to spend quality time with her grandchildren and family.

A Funeral Mass will be at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, February 6, 2026, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with visitation prior to mass at 11:00 a.m. Msgr. Bliss will officiate and Entombment will follow at Resurrection Mausoleum.
