Obituary published on Legacy.com by Roberts of Ocala West Chapel on Feb. 2, 2026.
Lori Ann Sigley, age 67, went to dance with the angels on Thursday, January 30th, 2026.
Lori was born on September 20, 1958, in
Providence, Rhode Island. As the oldest of four children, she helped lead the way for her siblings and was born to her loving parents, Clifford and Lorraine (Leonard) Read.
Lori was united in marriage to Wayne Sigley on July 16th, 1983. Their marriage was special and deeply impactful, serving as a beautiful example of love, partnership, and devotion to all who knew them. Lori and Wayne were not only life partners but also best friends, sharing laughter, adventures, and unwavering support throughout their years together. They shared a love of travel and created many cherished memories on cruises, with their cruise to Alaska holding a particularly special place in their hearts. Lori also enjoyed horseback riding at her favorite place, Stir Up and Strides.
A lifelong learner, Lori was a forever student, with education as the foundation of her soul. She attended Classical High School in Providence and went on to pursue higher education at Brown University, Rhode Island College, Rutgers University, and several other institutions. Her dedication to learning led her to earn degrees in psychology and finance, as well as an MBA-accomplishments that reflected her curiosity, determination, and love of growth.
Her determination and willingness to embrace challenge guided her professional life, culminating in her role as a partner and Chief Financial Officer of Omni Instrumentation in Plainfield, New Jersey, before her retirement.
Lori is survived by her loving siblings, Lisa Dolbashian and her husband Paul; Clifford Read and his wife Mai; and Lynn Robinson and her husband Patrick. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews, whom she helped guide and support throughout their lives. Although Lori did not have children of her own, her nieces and nephews were always loved and treated as if they were her own.
She loved helping others, and spending long stretches of time connecting with the people she cared about most. Lori was rarely rushed on the phone - conversations with her could last for hours, filled with laughter, honest reflection, and thoughtful advice. She showed up for the people in her life with consistency, warmth, and an open heart.
Lori had an insatiable curiosity and a sharp mind. If you asked her a random question, she would probably know the answer-and if she didn't, she would research it with remarkable focus and determination. One of her favorite sayings was, "You need to know the answer before you ask the question," reflecting her love of knowledge, preparation, and thoughtful insight.
Lori will be remembered for her intelligence, generosity, curiosity, and the deep love she showed to family and friends. Her life was one of inspiration, laughter, and countless cherished memories.
A gathering of friends will be held at Roberts Funeral Home of Ocala West Chapel. 6241 SW State Rd 200,
Ocala, FL 34476 on Saturday, February 7 from 2 - 4pm.
