Lori Jo Smith-Hadaway, a beloved friend, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, from Plainview, Texas passed away at the age of 54. Lori was a farmer's daughter who loved riding motorcycles and snowmobiles. Funeral services will be held at Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview on Friday, August 15, 2025 at 11:00A.M. with Evan Wise officiating.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 14th, 2025 from 5:00P.M. to 7:00P.M. at Kornerstone Funeral Directors in Plainview. Anyone who has been touched by Lori's kindness and giving heart is welcome to attend.
Lori was born on August 22, 1970 in Dallas, Texas. Her mother, Sharon Ann Seal and father Herbert Smith adopted Lori at birth and took her home to Providence, Texas where Lori was raised. Lori was a proud Longhorn and Lockney was lucky to have her. She graduated in 1988 from Plainview High School.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Terry "Spanky" Hadaway of 11 years, her parents, two sisters and two sons.
Those left to carry on Lori's legacy of kindness are her children Kenneth Hadaway and wife Madeline of Lubbock, Hope Gonzales and husband Anthony of Lorenzo, Krystal Hill and husband John of Columbus, Kansas, Korbin Perez of Lubbock, Texas, Danielle Cosgrove and husband Joe of Farmingdale, New York, Alexia "Lexi" Hale and husband Dustin of Lubbock, Christopher Coyte of Amarillo, Hope Hadaway, Kenny Hadaway and Robert Payne along with her pride and joy, seven grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. They lovingly called her "Memaw and Gigi". Lori called many others her own. She was a protective, supportive mom to many.
Lori and Terry enjoyed being active members of Boozefighters MC, Chapter 17. They spent time delivering gifts to Covenant Children's Hospital and seeking out families in need assisting them any way possible.
