LORI WIGHTMAN, age 61, of Washington CH, passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at her home. Her death was sudden and unexpected.
She was born on March 18, 1961 in Fayette County to the late John W. and Maxine (Allen) Wightman. She was a 1980 graduate of Washington High School. Lori got her first job at Kroger in Washington CH after graduation and stayed until her retirement. She was a member at St. Colman of Cloyne Catholic Church. Lori always had a kind heart and a beautiful smile. She enjoyed bowling, baking Christmas cookies, collecting Barbie dolls starting in her childhood, playing board games, and loved the music of Elton John.
In addition to her parents, Lori was preceded in death by her nephew, LCpl. Brett Wightman.
Survivors include her siblings, John Wightman, Keith (Kim) Wightman, and Susan Wightman Sexton; nieces and nephews, Tim (Mackenzie) Wightman, Kayley Campbell, Katelyn Sexton, Chase Sexton, and Travis Sexton; great-nieces and nephews, Kamden, Ainsley, Marleigh, Andrew, and Maddi; and great-aunt, Florence "Flo" Rinehart. Also surviving are numerous cousins and host of dear and special friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Fr. C.M. Haddad officiating. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be held at the Washington Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Brett Wightman Foundation, P.O. BOX 321, Sabina, OH 45169.
