Lorilee Vandergrift

Lorilee "Lori" Vandergrift, age 60, of Holts Summit, Missouri, passed away on March 18, 2026, at her daughter's home, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on July 17, 1965, in Jefferson City, Missouri, the daughter of the late Ceola Leon and Louise Katherine (Bartley) Hart. Lori attended Russellville High School and was united in marriage to Greg Vandergrift on October 1, 1988, in Lohman, Missouri.

Lori dedicated many years of service working in Environmental Services (EVS) and later in Patient Service Representative at Capital Region Medical Center from September 2007 until August 2025. She truly loved her job and the people she worked with.

She found joy in life's simple pleasures-camping, spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who lovingly knew her as "Nana." Lori adored her puppies, enjoyed making up her own version of songs, and could often be found scratching lottery tickets.

She is survived by her loving husband, Greg Vandergrift of Holts Summit; her sons, Jeffrey Pearson, Micheal Vandergrift (Cortny), Adrian Vandergrift (Kathleen), Jarrad Vandergrift (Melanie), and Jacob Vandergrift (Madeline); her daughters, Caitlin Vandergrift, Shauna Dowling (Tom), Bethany Austin (Josh), and Brandy Lee (James Pierce); and bonus daughters, Renee Williams, Mechelle Nangole, and Sarah Rabe.

She is also survived by her grandchildren, Heather Wilson (Mitch), Jacob Dowling (Abigail), Joshua Dowling (Lauren), Lauren Vandergrift, Megan Vandergrift, Garret Vandergrift, Willow Austin, Ian Austin, Devin Zoledziewski, Ryan Vandergrift (Presley), Aspen Vandergrift, Travis Vandergrift, Samuel Vandergrift, Lucas Vandergrift, Emma Woolery (Devin Williams), Haydin Pearson, Bryton Vandergrift, Wyatt Vandergrift, and Sadie Vandergrift; her great-grandchildren, Beckham Wilson, Hadley Dowling, Joshua Williams, Miles Vandergrift, and Payton Vandergrift; and her bonus grandchildren, Megan Williams, Dorian Williams, Delilah Williams, Sabrina Beck, Danielle Mize, Nicholas Nangole, Dexter Nangole, and numerous bonus great-grandchildren.

Additional survivors include her brother, Bewel Brummett; and sisters, Carolyn Rademann (John) and Lorretta Jett; along with extended family and many dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Kerry Brummett; and her sister, Wanda Brummett.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy are suggested to the American Cancer Society.

Friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors with service following at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Jason Waterman officiating.
