Lorin F. Stewart, of Saxeville, age 88, passed away on Thursday, November 13, 2025. He was born in Big Falls, WI on August 25, 1937 to the late Francis and Anna (Severson) Stewart. On April 30, 1960 he was united in marriage to Patricia Mortson (Firehammer) and she preceded him in death on January 2, 2023. In 1957, he moved to Milwaukee to make a living, working with U.S. Steel in the cement division. After 41 years of service, he retired in 1998. In 1999, he and Patricia moved to Saxeville. They spent seven years wintering in Alamogordo, NM.
He will be dearly missed by children: Thomas (Jeannie) Stewart, John (Beth) Stewart, Christina (Tony) DiPiazza, Lori (Brad) Ehnerd; grandchildren: Nicole, Tucker, Mitchell, Kallie (Joe), Katrina, Cody (Alyssa), Samuel, Andrew, Vincent, Dominic, Joshua (Jenn), Jaki, Tanner and Marissa, great grandchildren: Braydin, Kaydin, Kyrie, Sawyer and Everest; brother, Lloyd (Betty) Stewart; brother-in-law, Allen (Karen) Mortson; sister-in-law, Harriet Lick; other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia; brothers, Hugh and Ralph; sisters, Lorna, Carol, Nina and Sally; and granddaughter, Jennifer.
The Funeral Service will be on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at 11 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church in Saxeville. The visitation will be on Saturday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will take place at Parfreyville Cemetery at a later date. Memorials are appreciated for St. John's Lutheran Church.
