Besides her parents, Jay was preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Gunn Bell; and siblings, Sonny Cowherd, Mary Catherine Adams, Josie Connor, James Cowherd Jr., Estelle Cowherd, Annie Dean, Lizzie Edelen, Emmett Cowherd, Robert Cowherd, Charles Cowherd, John Cowherd, and Richard Cowherd.
Survivors include her brother, William Thomas (Alberta) Cowherd; children, Gilbert Gunn Jr. (Shelia), Lucy Gunn, Pam Hurrigan (Lee), Katie Gunn (Henry), Franseda Gunn (Carrie), Nancy Gunn, John Gunn (Yvonne), Chris Gunn (Lynn), and Bradley Gunn; brother, William Thomas (Alberta) Cowherd; also surviving are a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 08, 2025 at Lebanon Methodist Church, 236 N. Spalding Avenue, Lebanon, KY 40033. Interment will follow in Ryder Cemetery.
Visitation will be at Lebanon Methodist Church from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service on Saturday.
Repass will immediately follow at Lebanon Methodist Church after interment.
In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may take the form on donations to Lorine's church, Sherman Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church, 130 W. Chandler Street or P.O. Box 1101, Lebanon,. KY 40033.
