Lorna Dee Arosteguy passed away peacefully on October 22, 2025, at 79 in Downey, California. She was born on November 26, 1945, in Fresno, California to Darlene and Louis. Lorna was the oldest of two children. She devoted her life to faith and family.
Lorna carried the memory of all who preceded her in death, including her parents, husband, George, their cherished son, Jayson, and her brother Dicky Ray. Deeply devoted to her family, she found immense joy in the loving company of her children, grandchildren, niece, and many cousins.
Lorna’s devotion to family was matched only by her deep faith. Faith was her foundation. She gained strength and comfort from worship and Bible study. As a member of Sea Coast Grace Church in Cypress, she inspired others with her gentle presence and kind heart.
In addition to her faith, Lorna was an accomplished musician. She sang and played piano her entire life. Her joy in playing piano and participating in church music remains in our memories.
Lorna’s legacy lives on through her son, Jeffery Arosteguy, his wife, Victoria, and their son, Thurman. Her legacy also includes Maryn and Noah, children of her beloved son Jayson (Kelley). Her love, kindness, and spirit remain with her family, friends, and all who are blessed to know her. Her gentle soul guides us; a light that will not fade.
Memories and condolences can be left on the obituary at the funeral home website.
