Lorraine attended Lowell Grammar School and graduated from Turlock High School in 1947.
In 1948 she married Gordon Bostrom and moved to Hughson, CA where she lived for over 50 years before moving to Covenant Village.
Gordon and Lorraine have three sons, Gary (Barbara), Tom (Lynette) and Terry (Karen). Terry passed away during the Covid pandemic. She has six grandchildren, Sonya (Kenneth), Aaron, Steve, Audrey (Rob), Joe (Lauren), and Amanda (Isaac), and eleven great grandchildren Tarsia, Tyler, Loren, Joe, Ciera, Tara, Liam, Tristen, Reagan, Hayden and Jackson.
Gordon, her husband of 50 years, preceded her in death in 1998. She also had one brother, Ken Nelson, who preceded her in death in 2024. She was a member of Cornerstone Covenant Church and the Turlock Country Club. Lorraine was also a volunteer at Emanuel Medical Center.
Gordon and Lorraine had the good fortune to travel extensively and covered the world during their trips abroad. Lorraine also enjoyed spending summers at her Tulloch Lake cabin. Lorraine also loved to entertain in her Covenant Village apartment and made many new friends while residing there.
In lieu of flowers please donate to Covenant Living of Turlock, Benevolent Care in memory of Lorraine Bostrom, 2125 N. Olive Ave. Turlock, CA 95382 or to your favorite charity.
A celebration of Lorraine's life will be held at Covenant Living of Turlock, Berg Hall in Turlock on Saturday, July 19, 2025 at 1:00pm.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Lorraine. She was a wonderful person. Love this picture of her -- it shows so perfectly the beautiful smile she had. So many great memories were made at the Skandi-Fest for years! I know she will be missed. I will be praying for your family during this difficult time. Even though we will see her again (Praise God!), it's never easy saying good-bye to a loved one.
