Publish in a newspaper

Lorraine A. Coyle, a beacon of compassion and love, passed away on November 17, 2025, at the age of 73. Born on September 11, 1952, in Queens, NY, Lorraine was one of five daughters cherished by the late Felix and Wanda Waszak. Her formative years in Queens were filled with the bustling energy of city life until 1979 when her family moved to Long Island, and settled in Belford in 1984, where she would establish her roots and create a legacy of kindness and care.

Lorraine's life was marked by her unwavering dedication to her family. She was a loving mother to Kimberly Gentilcore, Kevin Coyle and his wife Erika, and Gregory Coyle. Her sisters, Phyllis Mastrovincenzo, Barbara Grena, Patricia Lenzo, and Stephanie Waszak, stood by her side through life's many chapters. Lorraine's joy was multiplied by her grandchildren, Mackenzie, Ethan, James, and Kaitlyn, as well as her step-grandchildren, Kincaid, Amber, and Jennifer, who all held a special place in her heart.

Professionally, Lorraine was a respected ICU and critical care nurse at JFK Medical Center in Edison, where she served from 1988 until her retirement in 2020. Her gentle touch, warm smile, and expert care left an indelible mark on the lives of countless patients and their families, many of whom expressed their gratitude through heartfelt letters and messages of thanks.

Lorraine's interests and passions were as diverse as they were heartfelt. She was a tireless volunteer with the Sharing Network, continuing her life's mission of helping others even beyond her passing by donating her body. Her love for animals shone brightly, especially for her beloved dogs, who were her constant companions. An avid traveler, Lorraine reveled in her annual "Friends' Cruises," seeking out the warmth of sunny destinations and the tranquility of the beach.

Her involvement in her children's lives was unwavering. She never missed a school function or sporting event, always there to cheer and support. This dedication naturally extended to her grandchildren, whom she adored. Inspired by her grandmother's example, one of her granddaughters aspires to follow in Lorraine's footsteps and pursue a career in nursing.

Lorraine was the embodiment of love, kindness, and generosity. Her presence was a source of comfort and strength to all who knew her. Her legacy will live on in the countless lives she touched, both personally and professionally, and in the memories cherished by her family and friends. Lorraine A. Coyle's life was a testament to the power of caring and the enduring impact one person can have on the world. She will be deeply missed, yet her spirit will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have felt her love and compassion.

Please join her family on Saturday, November 22nd from 2 - 5 pm at Scott & Kedz Home for Funerals. A Funeral Service will conclude the afternoon, and a private cremation will conclude the afternoon and a private cremation will follow.
