Lorraine Cox Easterby CHARLESTON - Lorraine Cox Easterby, 95, widow of Frank Calhoun Easterby, of Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Friday, September 6, 2024. Her Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, September 10, 2024 in Bethel United Methodist Church, 57 Pitt Street at 11:00 am. Interment immediately following in Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Downtown Chapel. Lorraine was born August 30, 1929 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of the late Burkett Cox and Mahiley Causey Cox. She graduated from Berkeley High and attended College of Charleston. She was a Dental Assistant and also was the owner of Lorraine's Children's Dress Shop. She was an active member of Bethel United Methodist Church, where she served as Church hostess for many years lovingly serving others. She is survived by her God-daughter, Caroline Palmer Toole (Giles) of Manning, SC, God-son, Doug Ward of Charleston, SC; granddaughter, Mahailey Davis Amos (Mark) of Summerville, SC; great-granddaughters, Aria Mahailey Amos and Savannah Raine Amos; and brother-in-law, Johnny Easterby.
