Lorraine M. Harty-Budniak on October 7, 2025 of Oak Valley. Age 64. Beloved wife of William "Bill" Budniak. Loving mother of Colleen Baney (Kyron Evans) of Oak Valley, Maureen "Mo" Packer (Mike) of Woodbury Heights, and Michael Baney (Julia) of South Carolina. Cherished sister of Mary Jane Callen (Paul) of Woodstown, Timmy Harty of Atlantic City, Winnie Harty-Cunard of Williamstown, Judy Janofsky (Rich) of Williamstown, Sister-in-law Linda Harty of Oak Valley and the late Pat Harty and Vincent Harty. Special niece of Dolores (Aunt Tootsie) Groves of Glassboro. Devoted Mom-Mom of Kieran, Kendall, Joci, Cody, and Jade. Daughter-in-law of William and Teresa Budniak. Sister-in-law to Sharon Reed (Scott) and Jeff Budniak (Andrea). She is survived by many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins and lifelong friends. Predeceased by her parents, Patrick Harty and Mary Jane Harty (nee Timlin).
A lifelong resident of Deptford Township, Lori would be the first to let you know she was, in fact, from OAK VALLEY. Most early summer days were spent at Oak Valley Lake. Later she was on their committee. A volunteer of OVAA, she spent many seasons volunteering and running the snack stand. As a 1979 graduate of Deptford High School, Lori always had Spartan pride. A natural athlete, being a standout pitcher was the highlight of her career. She continued to enjoy playing slow pitch softball after high school for many years, alongside her sisters. Lori also was an avid bowler for many years often on teams with her mom and sisters.
Lori was a dedicated mother and poured everything into raising her children. Whether she was cheering her children on, room mom, coaching them, or traveling state to state to watch them, She was always there. When her grandchildren arrived, she stepped into the role of being the best Mom-Mom in the world seamlessly. She was beyond proud of all five of them and was their biggest fan. She created special bonds with each one individually and spent as much time as she could going to as many games, concerts, shows, as possible. Nothing made her happier than being with her family. Lori also created special relationships with her children's friends.
Lori and Bill spent 14 wonderful and memorable years at Oceanview resort. They met many great friends at her "happy place" and made countless memories with her family.
A loyal Philadelphia sports fan, one of Lori's favorite traditions was her annual family vacation to Clearwater to watch the Phillies spring training. You could count on Super Bowl Sunday being hosted at her house and Lori would be in her Eagles gear, no matter who was playing.
Lori was known to love playing Bingo weekly with her special "group". Basket auctions and raffles were always her favorite, and she would always come home a "winner, winner, chicken dinner"
Lori adored her Billy and couldn't have been happier with the over 20 years they spent together. The many vacations, concerts, building their backyard oasis were some of their happiest times. She couldn't have chosen a better life partner.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing on Monday, October 13, 2025 from 10am to 12noon at Infant Jesus Parish at St Margaret's RC Church, 3rd and Beech Sts., Woodbury Heights, NJ 08097.
