Lorraine Mae Kutcher, 89, died on June 11, 2025 at her home in Iowa City.
A visitation to celebrate Lorraine will be from 4:00-6:00pm on Wednesday, June 18 at Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service, Iowa City. A graveside service will be at 10:00am on Thursday, June 19 at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Oxford, IA. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the donor's choice of charity.
Lorraine was born on July 24, 1935 in Oxford, IA, the daughter of Frank and Theresa Marie (Kabela) Yeries. Lorraine married Raymond "Ray" Edward Kutcher on February 5, 1951 in Oxford, IA.
Lorraine loved gardening and flowers. She was famous for her homemade strawberry jam.
She is remembered by many for her kindness, beautiful smile and her laughter was contagious. She never met a stranger that she didn't want to talk to. No matter what she faced in life, she chose to tackle it head on and rarely complained. She was young at heart and enjoyed the simple things in life. She will be forever missed!
Lorraine is survived by her two sons, Leo (Rebecca) Kutcher of Stanhope, IA and Steven (Sue) Kutcher of Brighton, CO; grandchildren: Kaitlynne Thorsell (Colton), Andrea Peery (Brian), Becky Gartner, Jamie Kutcher, Josh Kutcher, Sarah Schehl, Brandi Martinez and Demitrio Martinez; great-grandchildren: Brynlie, Jaden, Katerina, Jamie Jo, Lillian, Keira, Joey, Chase and Layne and her sister Mary Jean Stebral. She is also survived by numerous extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Theresa Marie Yeries, her husband Ray in 2019 and brothers Kenneth, Leland, Stanley and Frankie.
