Nanette Shellie Kutcher, 61, known as Shellie by most of her friends and family, of Uhrichsville, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital in Dover, Ohio. Born June 27, 1963 in Dennison, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Everett Sherman "Burdie" and Nancy Ellen (Gold) Burdette.
Shellie was a 1981 graduate of Claymont High School who went on to spend 32 years as a mail carrier for the U. S. Postal service, working out of the Uhrichsville, Dennison, Deersville, and Bowerston offices until her retirement in 2022. She had been a member of Uhrichsville First Christian Church.
She will be deeply missed by her sons, Clint (Ashley) Kutcher and Clay (Misty) Kutcher; grandchildren, Gauge, Thea, and Colt Kutcher; many nieces and nephews, including Natalie, Nicole, Neeley, and Nan with whom she was especially close; and her best friend, Cindy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, E. Shane Burdette, and sister and brother-in-law, Sherry and Rick Cox.
Shellie loved spending time outdoors, whether horseback riding, attending local fairs and flea markets, or kicking back around a bonfire, as well as trips to the beach. She also enjoyed going shopping every weekend and spending time with her best friend, Cindy. She also spent many happy hours sitting around drinking coffee with her late brother, Shane, and gossiping at the Deersville General Store. Most of all, she cherished being with her sons whom she loved dearly and lavishing her affection (and her money) on her precious grandchildren. She was also a devoted pet owner who loved her cats and dogs very much.
A memorial service and celebration of Shellie's life will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, April 28, at the R. K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison where her family will receive callers for an hour prior to the service. Those wishing to honor her memory by a charitable contribution are encouraged to do so to their favorite charity.
