Helen “Lorraine” Lee, 88, passed away on January 25, 2024.
Mrs. Lee was born August 31, 1935, to the late Alfred and Helen Varhol Faipler in Rossiter, Pennsylvania. Lorraine was a longtime member of Durham Memorial Baptist Church.
Lorraine loved children and was a longtime Sunday school teacher at Durham Memorial, even after having a stroke in 2006. She also worked for many years at the Land of the Little People Day Care at Durham Memorial Baptist Church, which she loved greatly.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Fred Faipler and sisters Kathleen Reams, Florence O’Neal and Millie Dennis.
Lorraine is survived by her husband of 63 years, Victor G. Lee, Sr.; son, Victor G. Lee, Jr. of Holly Springs; daughters, Miriam L. Peterson (Eric) of Holly Springs, Jennifer L. Tamimi of Durham; brother, Tony Faipler (Dodie); sister, Judie Stewart; and Grand-Children, Rutger Peterson and Cierra Peterson.
A Visitation will be held 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at Hudson Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Durham Memorial Baptist Church. The burial will be at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens on 3712 Cheek Road.
Flowers are acceptable.
