Lorraine "Lorrie" Miklovich, age 65, passed away at home in New Gloucester, ME on April 26th, 2025 after a year long battle with Lyme Disease and ALS. Born December 20th, 1959 to Judith and Ernest Albin of Weston, CT with siblings Sandy and David, Lorrie spent her youth playing basketball and softball. After graduating from Johnson & Wales University, she married her husband Dean Miklovich on November 1st, 1986 and moved to New Gloucester, ME in 1992. She is survived by 4 children; Amie, David, Benjamin, and Samuel, as well as daughter-in-laws Chelsea and Emily and Grandson Maxwell. Lorrie was known for her desire to care for her friends and neighbors; always offering fresh fruit and vegetables from her garden or baked goods. She spent her adult life coaching little league for several of her children, as well as being involved in Destination Imagination as a coach. She worked as the operations manager for Pinetree Garden Seeds in New Gloucester for almost twenty years before retiring. Lorrie desired to spend her retirement with her husband, working on their yard and historical home as well as spending time on their boat in Casco Bay. Lorrie made an impact on everyone she met with her insightful advice and her belief that all things happen for a reason. A memorial viewing service will be held at Wilson Funeral Home on May 17th in Gray, ME from 1:00pm. to 3pm. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the ALS Association or a charity of your choice in her name.

Dear Dean, Aime, David, Ben, Sam and family,
We are so sorry about Lorrie's passing. The Miklovich family and the Hahnel family go way back. Our children went to school together and played sports together. We were also involved with Destination Imagination. You would frequently see the Hahnel family and the Miklovich family at school and community functions. When I started to get into horseback riding over 20 years ago, Lorrie helped me by giving me tips and some equipment. Lorrie was very kind, smart and very funny. The Miklovich family was extremely supportive and caring during the time of my daughter's car accident in 2003. Lorrie was also a great wife, mother and neighbor.
Lorrie and the Miklovich family will always have a warm place in our hearts. RIP my friend.
All our Love.
Donna, Alan, Augusta, Elizabeth and Jesse Hahnel
