Lorraine R. Nielsen, 94, of South Haven passed away on April 20, 2025.
Born July 22, 1930, in South Haven, Mich. to Merl and Nellie (Goodwin) Schlaack.
Married George H. Nielsen on Sept. 16, 1950 in South Haven.
Survived by son Charley, brother-in-law Jim Niesen as well as several special nieces and nephews.
Lorraine is preceded in death by her husband George, beloved daughter Lori Nielsen; parents, brother Clinton (Avis) Schlaack and Virginia, Bill (Edna) Schlaack, Carl (Evelyn) Schlaack, Charlie (Margaurite) Schlaack; in Laws George (Edna) Nielsen, Judy (Dick) Birdwell, Norma Johnson, Kathy Nielsen and niece Linda Edge.
Lorraine graduated from South Haven High School in 1948.
She was a member of Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church and worked on various Committees; Alter Guild, Pricilla Circle, greeter, and served communion, where she had made many good friends.
She was a "Pink Lady" at South Haven Hospital, worked at Fisher Big Wheel and Food Service at LC Mohr.
In her spare time Lorraine also enjoyed gardening.
A graveside service will be held to honor Lorraine at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 2 at Lakeview Cemetery, 191 Bailey Ave., South Haven, Michigan 49090.
Pastor Travis Wilson will officiate.
