Lorraine Flora (Stephens) Riskey, 97, passed away on the morning of April 5th, 2024 at the Windsor House in Canfield, with her daughter Debbie by her side.
She was born the daughter to the late Charles Stephens and Stella (Glassburn) Stephens in West Moreland, PA on September 15TH, 1926.
Lorraine married Elmer T. Riskey on November 27th, 1942. They went on to have 3 daughters and together they spent almost 50 years together before his passing on May 9th, 1992.
She went on to build a restaurant with her husband Elmer and was owner and operator of Lor-El’s campground for 14 years, along with her husband. She had many interests such as baking cakes and cookies, landscaping, housekeeping, playing cards in a card club, watching nature from her porch, visiting her neighbors, enjoyed bingo nights and other activities at the Windsor House, writing poems, playing the organ, and spending time with her family. She was also a member of the Old North Church in Canfield and had previously attended the Smith Corners United Methodist Church in Austintown.
Lorraine leaves behind to carry on her memory and will be sadly missed by her daughter, Debbie (Larry) Yavorsky, her granddaughters; Pam (AJ) Marcello and Lisa (Jack) Modelski; and her great grandchildren; Mackenzie, Leah, Jackson, and Sophia, as well as many other grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Besides her husband, Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, George, Larry, Floyd, and Gordon Stephens; her sister, Donna King; along with a grandson, a great grandson and a great-great grandson.
Private funeral services were held.
